My Experience Building A Shoe Shelf With Angled Shelves

As someone who loves shoes, I always struggled to find a good storage solution that would keep my collection organized and easily accessible. I tried various methods, including hanging organizers and traditional shoe racks, but none of them seemed to work quite right for me. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands and build my own shoe shelf with angled shelves.

How To Build A Shoe Shelf With Angled Shelves

Building a shoe shelf with angled shelves might seem like a daunting task, but with the right tools and materials, it can be a fun and rewarding project. Here are the steps I took:

Step 1: Gather Materials

To build a shoe shelf with angled shelves, you’ll need the following materials:

  • Plywood
  • Screws
  • Wood glue
  • Table saw
  • Drill
  • Sander

Step 2: Cut Plywood

Using your table saw, cut the plywood into the desired size for your shoe shelf. I chose to make mine 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall.

Step 3: Cut Angled Shelves

Using the table saw, cut angled shelves that will fit onto the plywood backboard. I chose to make my shelves at a 45-degree angle, but you can adjust the angle to fit your needs.

Step 4: Sand and Paint

Once all the pieces are cut, sand them down and paint or stain them to your liking. This will help to protect the wood and give your shoe shelf a finished look.

Step 5: Assemble

Using wood glue and screws, attach the angled shelves to the plywood backboard. Be sure to let the glue dry completely before using your new shoe shelf.
